Really well equipped kitchens, huge communal dining spaces, lovely party room with plenty of sofa space for everyone.... Bedrooms are comfortable and clean, and the bathrooms in the old house have been updated since last year. We had such a brilliant time, the house was perfect. There were 35 of us and there was plenty of space, the hot tubs were fantastic & communication with the hosts was quick and responsive. Being in this area of the Peak District was lovely as well - some lovely pubs to walk to. The venue was perfect for a large group with excellent facilities, large lounge and dining rooms, comfortable bedrooms, ideally suited for internal and external games, good pub less than half a mile walk away, and excellent location for walks in the Peak District. Booked a weekend at Hamps Hall and Barn weekend prior to Christmas. The whole place was very welcoming and clean. It is an old building so it’s taken a few knocks no doubt but it was very homely and comfortable for our large group of extended family. The children ( 11 of them ) particularly enjoyed the games room and the amount of space and corridors to run and chase around ! The large reception room held a ceilidh which was big enough for some very enthusiastic dancing! Plenty of amenities and equipment in the kitchen as well as books and games in the library and reception rooms to keep everyone entertained . We had need to contact maintenance team who answered our needs very promptly and graciously for minor issues with no fuss whatsoever. Felt the team really wanted to look after their guests The lower ground floor rooms were bit cold but the beds were very comfortable and snuggly warm- elsewhere was toasty warm despite the very cold windy weather conditions we had. The house and accommodation are absolutely beautiful, cosy and equipped with everything you could want including hot tubs. Fab venue - went as guests of a friend’s wedding and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Amazing countryside location, lots of beautiful walks and amenities close by. Plenty of space in the hall and barns, clean, warm and welcoming! Would definitely recommend.
