At Party Houses, we’re familiar with the sounds of rushing rivers, and of waves crashing onto the shore. Fishing is more than a hobby. It’s a way of life, centred around being out in nature, paying attention to the smallest of details, hoping that your lure or fly will win you the prize of the day. Whether you’re fishing for cod on the Tenby coastline, or trout in a glimmering stream, the experience is like none other. At Party Houses, we have several venues that are perfect for a fishing holiday. From manors with private fly fishing beats to coastal houses near harbours with boats for hire, you really are spoilt for choice. Below, you can find our favourite holiday cottages with fishing on-site or nearby.

You’ll be delighted to know that a few of our venues offer private fishing spots, on-site! Stable Manor, for one, is a truly unique venue, set on an estate that is famous for its incredible biodiversity. This venue is home to a private beat on the River Allen, giving guests a unique, unspoilt opportunity for an unforgettable day of fly fishing. Roe Manor, on the other hand, sits in front of an expansive trout lake, which not only provides a great spot for a day of fishing but is also a stunning view to wake up to each morning. Those who prefer a more casual setup might enjoy a venue such as Elmore Grove. Elmore Grove is a great option, as it is located right on the River Thames and comes equipped with an impressive collection of amenities. Just don’t forget your fishing license! 

While only a small handful of our venues have fishing options on-site, we have plenty of venues with some incredible spots that are relatively easy to access. All of the following venues are located closeby to some tip-top spots to cast your line. Greenwood Estate, for example, is located a short way away from both Arlington Reservoir and Horam Manor Fishery. Both of these welcome day guests for fishing expeditions. Additionally, Forest Lake Estate offers fishing at the nearby Memorial Trout Lakes. This venue also looks out over a lake of its own with a charming jetty that’s perfect for enjoying a clam cup of coffee to start off your day.

If you prefer the salty spray of the ocean or the tranquillity of a loch, these ones are for you. While most of our coastal venues will have some fishing options, these are our favourites. Two in particular, Hamburry Hideaway and Tenby Manor, actually feature private beaches! This makes them really stand out as unique and enchanting venues. Additionally, these venues exist in close proximity to various fishing towns. Guests can even organise boat trips for a more immersive fishing experience. Additionally, Greenwood Estate is located 25 minutes away from Brixham. Boat Trips Torbay, located in the area, offer 2-hour Mackerel fishing boat trips. Keep in mind, this is a brief overview of our coastal fishing options. Most houses located in seaside towns will have fishing options available.
