Birthdays are a great opportunity to get your friends and family together in one place. Our large group accommodation enables you just that very easily – as we offer self-catering, you will be able to get your dream house for a weekend at a great value. Perhaps you are organising a birthday tip for someone else? Have a read below to get inspired and organise a very special birthday party for your loved one.
1 – Discover the brief for the birthday party!
Speak to whoever’s birthday it is and find out what would make the most memorable event for them.
2 – Arrange the invite list!
Confirm the key people that the host would like to have there. Send invites with a specific RSVP date (you can also ask for a deposit if they are contributing). Make sure you find out from them any food or accessibility restrictions also, information which you can forward to our Party Houses team who will be able to find you a house according to your preferences and limitations. It’s always a smart idea to create a Whatsapp group or email thread to keep people up to date with payments or thoughts on the party.
3 – Create suspense with a secret
If you’re organising a birthday party for your loved one, you can keep a couple of guests or activities a surprise. Create some mystery and keep the birthday boy/girl guessing.
4 – Formal or informal?
What type of birthday party will it be? Should your guests bring clothes for a casual BBQ in the garden, or suited up for a much smarter fine dining dinner.
5 – Choosing the perfect venue
Look for the right venue by taking into account the location (making sure guests from across the UK can easily reach it), accessibility (so all guests are comfortable), and fun features (most of our Party Houses come with hot tubs, pools, or games rooms).
6 – Where’s the food coming from?
Make sure to arrange all the food in advance, all our Party Houses and at most venues, you will be able to get the food delivered from any of the big supermarkets and from smaller local providers. Nothing makes people happier together than a large meal! On a beautiful day, you’ll also be able to take advantage of the onsite BBQ.
7 – Bring a chef in!
After all, you want a night off to completely enjoy and relax on the birthday weekend. Then why not bring a chef in? They cook, serve and wash up. The menu is your choice; from fine dining to hog roast; and as you can bring your own drinks, it’s much better value than a restaurant.
8 – Make it that bit more interesting with a unique activity!
Get all your family and friends together for a unique and fun activity to really help the celebrations. From murder mystery nights to archery at your venue, our guests often say the activities helped to bring the party to life! We have a big list of different activity providers so take a scroll through our page and get inspired.
9 – Decorate to impress
From simple birthday balloons to flower bouquets set up on your arrival. You can really tailor the venue to your own imagination! There are lots of supplier contact details on our site but with most venues, you are free to choose whoever you like!
10 – Talk to your venue
We at Party Houses like it when we get a call asking for advice on how to make the birthday celebrations a weekend to remember. Always feel free to get on the phone and ask as many questions as you like!
