Buxton Opera House
Water Street, Buxton, SK17. A very attractive theatre, particularly famous for the Buxton Festival in the summer. A regular change of shows and one-night musical and comedy performances.
The lovely Buxton Opera House designed by Matcham (in the summer festival a bugle is blown from the balcony to let the crowds drinking in the plaza below know that the interval is over!)

Regent Theatre
Piccadilly, Hanley, Stoke, ST1 1AP. A large venue which welcomes most of the large touring companies with big musicals throughout the year.
Victoria Halls
Hanley, Stoke. A venue that attracts a variety of theatre and music acts. for group bookings.
Stoke Rep Theatre
Stoke. A 235-seat theatre that opened in 1197. With 6 productions a year, Stoke Rep follows the best tradition of quality amateur theatre.

And now for something completely different! Why not visit a Live and Local Show held in a variety of village halls throughout rural communities? Performances by professionals but in low-key venues – you must try it!
