Communication with the party house company was excellent throughout with all issues and queries heard and quickly addressed. We loved that there was plenty of space for everyone around the large table (seated 20) and in the living room, but there were also a couple of quieter snugs to spread out into. The kids loved the games room, and the garden is huge and gorgeous. Also a hot tub, which was beautifully situated with lovely views. Finally the location was perfect for us, with walks directly from the house, and two interesting reservoirs to visit. All in all a great stay. The place is spacious, really well set up for a big group, and has everything you need to make a weekend away easy and fun. The communal areas were perfect for hanging out together, and the kitchen was kitted out with everything we needed to cook and keep the drinks flowing. The location is great too quiet and scenic, but still close enough to get to pubs and activities without any hassle. Beds were comfy, bathrooms were clean, and the barn itself has loads of character which made it feel special, not just like another rental. The hosts were helpful and accommodating, which made the whole experience smooth from start to finish. Overall, it was an ideal base for a stag do, and everyone left saying how much they’d enjoyed it. It was excellent from booking to visiting with my family group of 24 aged from 7 to 89 years. Spacious comfortable rooms, two kitchens with all you could possibly need, plenty of bathrooms. Outdoor space for sitting and playing. Communication was perfect, all my questions were answered immediately. While we were there we had a phone number to call for any queries which was reassuring. Spent a fabulous weekend at Hamps Barn for a 30th Birthday. We all loved the huge spaces and hot tubs. Lots of bubbly fun! Amazing views of the Peak District and local walks. There’s plenty of space and a huge garden area to make use of which is also very private. The house itself is absolutely gorgeous – spacious, full of character, and comfortably hosted 18 of us with room to spare. Everything was spotlessly clean and beautifully presented on arrival. The facilities were amazing – everything we needed was there, and more. The views are spectacular, the parking was easy, and the whole experience was completely stress-free from start to finish. Communication was also faultless – our host was incredibly responsive and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The house is huge and located in a beautiful country spot. You do get walkers/hikers passing the main entrance (it is a public footpath) which surprised me as I hadn't read that fact anywhere. It did mean we couldn't leave the children unsupervised. Lounge and dining rooms are large. Kitchen is rather small to self-cater for 30 people....but very well equipped. I am so glad I had ordered outside caterers to deliver & prepare our lunches and dinners. Kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glassware is plentiful. 2 dishwashers made the clearing away easier. I would have liked more than 1 toaster as queuing became necessary. House is tired looking but this suited our 1920's theme ! Bedrooms are a good size BUT I wish I hadn't had to use the 2 bedrooms in the basement. My guests found the basement to be gloomy, cold, smelly and damp. Instructions on how to use the heating system would have been useful. The grounds are quite large and the carpark accommodated our 20 cars easily. We did enjoy our stay.
