It was our first and last venue to go look for our wedding. Straight from road to the venue we know it will be this place we going to choose. We went 2 more time just to double measure with decorations lady, all communication was very smooth. I fink pictures will speak louder than words. Made the whole thing super easy. 100% would recommend for any large group (there was 21 of us!!!) the website is brilliant, the booking process is easy, the property (chels and toft barn) were top notch. What an amazing venue - the facilities are great with a well equipped kitchen, spacious dining room and a huge lounge to relax in along with a number of smaller rooms if you just want to be on your own. Games room great for kids and adults. The grounds are lovely and the location is perfect if you want to explore the countryside. We celebrated our silver wedding and found everything we need all the guests loved it. The only improvement I would suggest is to make the accessible room and bathroom more wheelchair accessible and label up the floor plan with the room names. Hired for a large family event and the roaches was just perfect, absolutely everything we wanted. A family of 16 have just spent 3 nights at Merrymeet and overall had a wonderful stay. It’s an old farmhouse so don’t expect ultra modern furniture but the beds are comfy and the rooms are a good size. Plenty of bathrooms for everyone too. The games room was a big hit. Location is great, in between Leek & Ashbourne, plenty of parking. Can also recommend the local chippy. I would recommend this house & would also not hesitate to stay again
