November 2017 Events in the Peak District and Beyond

If you thought that November is generally speaking just a boring month, we’re here to change your mind! There’s plenty of fun events going on this month, from fantastic bonfires and firework shows, to ghost tours, turning on Christmas lights, international music festival, and magical tour of Bolsover.

 

Bonfires and Fireworks

When and where:

3rd of November 2017 at Ashbourne Town Council

4th of November 2017 at St Peter and St Paul School in Chesterfield, Edale, Bakewell, and Alton Towers

Spend the weekend looking at amazing fireworks no matter where in the Peak District area you are. Take your kids to Alton Towers, visit Bakewell and enjoy live music, dancing, and circus performances, or go to Edale and enjoy a fantastic barbecue!

 

 

Ghost Tours

When: 3rd and 18th of November 2017

Leek Christmas Light Switch On

When: 17th of November 2017, 6.30pm

Get in the festive mood by enjoying watching the lights getting switched on, exploring Totally Locally Market stalls in the Market Place, funfair rides in High Street and a lantern parade led by Reindeer.

 

Birmingham’s German Christmas market

When: 17th November – 29th of December 2017, 10am -9pm

You don’t have to travel to Germany to enjoy a German Christmas market! Birmingham’s Christmas market will have it all – pretzels, bratwurst, glühwein, Crêpes, sing along to traditional Carols & Christmas songs, take a ride on the Carousel, and soak up the Christmassy atmosphere.

Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival

When: 17th November – 26 November 2017
